On his own since the age of 3, Warren Buck comes to us from San Francisco, Ca. Until Mark Decarlo found him, life was tough on the streets for young Warren ‘Twinkie’ Buck, as his ‘johns’ would call him. As the story goes, Warren was discovered… bleeding from a forehead wound caused by a belt buckle and was found by Bad Mojo’s GM, Mark Decarlo. Decarlo picked up the injured boy and 2 months later Adopted him. .
Speed of a gazelle, strong arm and quick bat made Twinkie a great asset to Mojo. Never to be out hustled, Warren Buck continued to impress us with his unsurpassed work ethic.
The sad ending to this otherwise blissful story is that Bucky is no longer a permanent fixture with Bad Mojo. After relentless verbal attacks and brow beatings toward Bad Mojo’s 3rd baseman, Richie Tricarico, Warren became a cancer to the team. The outfielder usually blamed all of his own errors on Richie’s throwing arm. The team, knowing that this was not true and highly unfair, asked Warren to seek counseling. After missing three appointments, Bucky then resorted to calling Richie names like ‘small –fry”, ‘one-eyed, one-armed, Dwarf’, and ‘needle-dick’ just to name a few. These countless incidences finally got Warren Buck a one way ticket to the San Francisco Gay Softball League (SFGSL). Often seen doing body double work for Burt Reynolds, Warren now resides under a pier in fisherman’s wharf and is back turning tricks in China town.
